A fashion design graduate at Amsterdam Fashion Institute [AMFI, 2005] Willemijn de Wit initially choose for a proper career as designer for international kids and women’s wear labels [Oilily, and TUFF]. It took but a few years for Willemijn to outgrow the limitations that come with filling clothing racks back to back. The web that is fashion is so much more and Willemijn is passionate about all of it. A woman of her generation, she gets excited about complexity and innovation, about multidisciplinary collaborations and made to measure total concepts around fashion. At women’s fashion and design concept store You Are Here in Eindhoven Willemijn de Wit works as buyer, creative manager, concept keeper, merchandiser, stylist, curator, storyteller, and host. Still she has the drive for more; Willemijn de Wit wants to turn Dutch Design capital Eindhoven into a booming, cutting edge fashion destination. Why go for less?
