BEND THE LINE – BEING THE LINE
EXPO /// SAT. 5 DECEMBER – SUN. 10 JANUARY
Bend the line – Being the line is a collaborative project between Roos Vogels and Gam Bodenhausen. Moving between worlds of the known and unknown, the artists will take you into their process of control, improvisation and doubt. The process-based installation with drawings and spatial work will grow and change as a stream of thought during this period of four weeks.
Historical and geological elements from landscape and nature play an important role in the work of visual artist Gam Bodenhausen (1973). Familiar landscape images, structures and objects are observed, dissected and rearranged in a new reality. In her work, everyday objects also act as guides to an all-encompassing re ection on being human, in which seemingly small disjointed parts tell a larger, moving story of love and desire.
Roos Vogels (1992) is an autonomous visual artist with an interest in nature and the materials that can be found there. In her work – which consists of installations, sculptures, drawings and photos – she expresses a clear desire to be able to approach nature. Because Roos uses materials such as branches, leaves and soil, transience plays a major role in her work. Its purpose is to expose the material; making visible an absolute truth.
