OPEN VELD

EXPO, WORKSHOP /// VR. 3 JULI – ZO. 5 JULI

Open Veld is the outcome of an immersive research to understand PSV’s grounds as an identity machine. Eventually the research comes to terms with the field as cultural heritage and territory with harsh boundaries. The presented space and workshops attempt to explore Eindhoven by looking into the football club’s history in the city and its relevance today, with a strong focus on empathy and multiplicity.

By acknowledging the multiple attacks from the club’s supporters union on members of Eindhoven Kan Het (EKH), the work is developed by Mechteld Jungerius in conversation with EKH to reflect on the living narrative of the city’s history.

Finally we ask; how can a space that feels safe to me, feel unsafe to you?
