WE’RE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE
EXPO /// FR. 3 JULY – SU. 5 JULY
There are two ways of approaching a question: 1) Ask the question. 2) Throw an answer at the crowd and see what happens. Marnix likes to go for the second option. In his work, he reacts to situations he finds himself in by playing with the questions they carry. To him, a question is more than something that leads to an answer. There are grey areas, blurred lines, uncertainties. Any topic can carry ambiguity, even when it seems it’s not there. Marnix sees a comical side to that. By letting go of expectations and conventions, he looks for opportunities to reveal the comedy behind them.
