Dessert occupies a peculiar space between food, and object. It is no stranger to display, ornament, or excess. It asks to be looked at before it is eaten.
Yet long before the first bite, it carries a promise. Sugar’s appeal is instinctive: familiar from childhood, loaded with anticipation, and made all the sweeter by a touch of guilt. When it finally reaches us, we guide it to our mouths and devour it. In fulfilling its purpose, it must disappear.
What happens when dessert insists on remaining an object a little longer? When it asks more of us than appetite? When it refuses to give itself up all at once?
You are invited to a series of sweet tastings. Sip and bite. Taste and savor.
Throughout the evening, a sweet scenography will be presented for you to observe, discover, and
perhaps consume. Some offerings may reveal themselves immediately, others may require a little
more curiosity.
“Sticky Fingers” is brought to life by chef and food designer Micheline Nahra in collaboration with visual artist Hala Tawil. Drawing on a shared interest in desire, display, and spatial encounters, they invite you into an experience that sits somewhere between exhibition, a treat and a meal.
The main event will take place on the evening of Friday, July 10th, with smaller gatherings
following on Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th. Feel free to join us on any day, as there may be different surprises each day.
