TAC is on the lookout for new talents! Are you a young designer, artist or collective? Do you want to exhibit at TAC during Dutch Design Week 2020? Then this is an opportunity for you!

Last year, What A Time To Be Alive! explored the spirit of design in a rapidly changing world. At the turn of the decade, we feel the need to push the boundaries even more. The borders between art and design are blurred, intertwined and at the same time coherent. We are thrilled to explore new dynamics in an even bolder #WATTBA festival.

Here’s what #WATTBA 2019 looked like!

  • Projects by individuals, collectives, initiatives and organizations.
  • Projects which (in your opinion) fit in the theme of What A Time To Be Alive!
  • Daring and bold designs on the borderline with artistic practices.
  • Concepts for active exhibitions with performances, lectures, discussions and more.

Send us an email on ddw@tac.nu with your project proposal, cv and portfolio before the 15th of July. The application should include a concept description, visual material and rough technical requirements. After applying you will receive an email with further details regarding the open call.

What do you get in return? Read all about it below!

Dutch Design Week is one of the biggest design events in europe. In the span of 9 days the city of Eindhoven facilitates various design events and exhibitions.

Last year, TAC welcomed over 20.000 international visitors. Our all-welcome festival during Dutch Design Week attracts numerous curious minds. Among them are culture professionals like fellow artists, (inter)national press, and potential clients. With its focus on alternative and speculative design, #WATTBA is a different take on Dutch Design Week!

The Temporary Art Centre (TAC) is a cultural incubator and meeting place. TAC offers space for young talent, with over 80 ateliers and 100 artists and designers working under its roof. We offer a varied cultural program, consisting of exhibitions, music, performance and more.

TAC offers up to 1000m2 of exhibition space, which is divided in several rooms. The biggest hall has a capacity of 600m2. With multifunctional areas, #WATTBA is a diverse and dynamic festival during Dutch Design Week. Besides exhibitions, it offers space for discussions, performances, lectures and more.

TAC is situated in the center of Eindhoven, next to the Philips soccer stadium and a 7 minute walk from the central station.

What A Time To Be Alive! is not only an exhibition. It is a festival where people meet and discuss the contribution of design in a rapidly changing world. Together with fellow participants, you will engage in events that are aimed to establish new connections while having fun. Join us at our special get-to-know brunches, opening and closing drinks or casual hang-outs in the garden: #WATTBA is where people meet!
