Studio 13th Persona by Lama Aldayoub
Studio 13th Persona by multidisciplinary artist and designer Lama Aldayoub.
Lama Aldayoub is a multidisciplinary artist and designer who possesses a skill set of flexibility that brings together the disciplines of visual arts, storytelling, new media, conceptual art, theatre, and design.
Studio 13th Persona is a manifestation of Lama’s creative and rebellious artistic self who thrives on experimentation. Lama’s work combines both conventional and digital processes to produce her concepts and artworks.
Her work tends to capture modern-day tensions in society and negate current social norms, reflecting her rebellious and inquiring attitude.
With an artistic language of an active blend of textures, colors, and styles, with a particular affinity for abstraction, digital collage, and the harsh contrast between bright and evocative colors and textures, as seen through her digital series “Anatomy of Physical Pain”, “Irregular fantasies” and many others, in which she investigates the physical manifestation of mental illness. In her practice, Lama invites the audience into intimate, often unspoken aspects of human experience, a deep dialogue and emotional connection. Digital or otherwise, her practice is a raw, unvarnished representation of unbridled emotion, psychological nuance, and a fearless probing of the unknown.
